    Char set of Syndicated Feeds

    If you are asking for help, provide lots of detail so problems can be reproduced.

    Things to describe:
    operating system - WINDOWS2000
    version of ATutor - 1.5.3.3
    versions of php -
    version of mysq l -
    webserver & version -
    copies of error messages -
    changes to default settings -
    web browser being used - IE 6
    and anything else relevant -

    When I Insert a Syndicated Feed (rss) in french or german, the text shown in the browser has difficulties with special characters.
    Ex. Google french:

    Aprs le plbiscite de WADE : Le grand dballage - Walf Fadjri

    How can I fix that?

    atutor's character set and that of the feed have to be the same.

    do you have the url to the feed?

    These german ones are having the same problem:
    From www.heise.de:

    Those feeds are in utf-8, so you'd have to set your atutor language to one that uses utf-8.

    But, even then atutor doesn't support utf-8 feeds completely.

    Actual the most languages are in ISO-8859-1.

    Is there an other posibilitie to do it?

    Maybee in future ATutor versions?
