    Safe mode problem

    Hi there,

I am very curious about ATutor, but I have not been able to install it by now as my server has safe mode switched on and I have no influence on that. My webspace provider won't switch it off. Is there a workaround for that available or do I need a new provider? :-(

    Re: Safe mode problem

There's not much you can do if your ISP does not want to turn it off. You might suggest to them that safemode is being phased out completely. It has been removed from PHP 6.

    Re: Safe mode problem

You can install ATutor on your local system if you want to try it before commiting to change ISP. It runs on all platforms.

Install the XAMP or EasyPHP server software, then install ATutor into the web server's root directory (ie. in the Apache part of XAMP or EasyPHP). Links to the server software are at the bottom of the same page you downloaded ATutor from.
