    public url

    hi i am presently working on the Community Learning
    Networks Initiative, and was testing out the Atutor interface, I just wanted to
    know whether it is possible to have a public url to a course, so that ppl can access the course page directly

    Re: public url

    yes, copy the link to the course from the "browse courses" page. it will look something like this:

    http://[domain]/atutor/bounce.php?course=10

    the bounce.php and course id does the trick.

    Re: public url

    How about linking directly into module in a course. Is it possible to create a link that opens up the FAQ for a specific public course?

    Thanks!

    Re: public url

    soft_link: I believe this is not possible. It is something I would like to do as well (not only to tools as the FAQ, but also to specific content pages within a different course..) - maybe the Atutor folks know a solution?

    Re: public url

    Normally you can right click on the module link in the tabs across the top, or the icons on the home page and save its location, then paste that location into a content page. You can onoly do this within the course the FAQs belong to. You cannot link from within one course to another course for security reasons.

    Re: public url

    The only way to get into a specific page in a course (aside from the index.php page) is by adding a second argument called "p", which is the page you want to redirect to.

    example:
    /bounce.php?course=10&p=/forum/list.php

    Good work! That seems to do the trick for me. I appreciate it Joel. Thanks
