  Do I need to be able to run cron jobs to use Atutor

  Before I even get started trying to install Atutor, I need to know if I need to be able to run cron jobs more than once every 24 hours (which is all my web host allows).
  
  I found this out the hard way trying to run Moodle. I would rather try a different e-learning program than have to get a new host.

  No need to run cron. It's optional. Leave it turn off (the default) if you don't want to use it.
  
  Apart from custom scripts that might use it, only the ATutor mail queue is currently using it. If you don't use cron, it just means tools that send mail will run a little slower.
