    About filemanager

    operating system - linux
    version of ATutor - 1.5.1

Sir, While I am preparing one course, I kept 5 Jpg files in File manager. Know when i started new course, I needed 2 of the old 5 jpg files..... which i can't see in my filemanager.

I am seeing different Filemanager for each course, which I don't want. I should have single root directory in which i will create respective folders and from there i will upload my files or images into any of the content

    Re: About filemanager

It is a different file manager for each course. There is no way currently to change that (without some significant programming).

If you want to copy the images to your new course, take a backup of the old course, then restore the backup into your new course choosing to only restore the content files.

    Re: About filemanager

Won't u think that this type of filemanger will cause redundency of data. Since instructor will be preparing the courses only a particular topics. So while creating each course, he might be needed the data files, images etc.

If u don't do it, then the have to upload the same file or image into the server unnecessarily. what is your opinion?

    Re: About filemanager

We might be able to create a utility to merge the file manager across courses.

You could make your suggestion to the Feature Requests forum.
