    Integrating a forum with ATutor

    Sir,

I've been using the Invision Power Board v2.0.3 for an year now. I've just installed your ATutor package onto my site. Now, can you please tell me a way to integrate the users of my forum with ATutor?

I thought of copying all users from my forum into the AT_members but then the forum's passwords are md5 encrypted whereas ATutor stores passwords as plain text if i'm not mistaken. Is there any way out of this?

I want people who register at the forums to get a registration at ATutor automatically... Please Help...

    Create a module?

I'm not familiar with Invision, so I can only guess that you might be able to create a module of it for ATutor. You will not be able to move your current users into ATutor, but you should be able to allow new users to register in ATutor, and use their ATutor session to access an Invision module (strictly guessing).

ATutor does not store md5 passwords, nor do I think it will ever. Password encrytion is on the todo list, but we will likely use SHA1 instead.

See the Module Developer documentation for more about creating modules.
