  Using images in content or forums oh and avatars

  I'm comfortable with course content in both text docs and html. Presumably if I upload a word doc that contains images they will appear in the course content. But is it straghtforward to upload the required images for webpages?
  
  Can I include images in a forum message?
  
  Any chance of avatar pics for users?

  hello - you can add images to the file manager and link to them that way. or you can link to images located on other servers.
  
  right now we do not support avatars but a profile image is in on 'to do' feature list.
