curious RSS and Polling tools on aTutor home page

    Hi Guys,

Just wondering if the Polling tool you use on the home page is custom or is it an Open source solution?

As well, I noticed that you are using feedcreator to generate your RSS feed. Just wondering how you trigger the feedGeneration script (manual get/post request or scheduled cron job?).

    Thanks again.

Re: RSS and Polling tools on aTutor home page

    Polling is custom.

Turn on RSS feeds in course properties (or when you create a course). A link element will be inserted in the head area of the ATutor HTML, to open with a Browser RSS feed reader. If you are using Firefox, the feedreader icon will appear to the bottom right. Or, you can copy the link URL into another feedreader on another site/application.

Feeds are live. They don't need cron. At the moment course announcements are generated as feeds. We may extend this in the future if there is demand for other feeds.
