    Installation step 7 wont advance to step 8

    If you are asking for help, provide lots of detail so problems can be reproduced.

    Things to describe:
    operating system -Apache 200.40 red Hat Linux
    version of ATutor - 1.4.3
    versions of php - 4.2.2
    version of mysq 3.23.58
    webserver & version -
    copies of error messages -
    changes to default settings -
    web browser being used -
    and anything else relevant -

    In the installation step 7 wont advanced to step 8, this is the message :

    safe_mode must be disabled (Required) Detected: Disabled

    Don't use Apache 2

    Apache 2 does not work all that well with PHP, which is why we recommend against using it.

    Also you may want to upgrade to a more current version of PHP. Though 4.2 is the minimum, 4.3+ is recommended.
