Changing Numbering System of Activitiespages

I would like to make use of the internal numbering system to use:
top level pages for Modules
next level pages for Weeks of the Module
next level pages for Activities for that week.
Once created, is there an easy way to re-jig the numbers without going into the database.
EG. After developing a week with 6 activities (1.1.1 - 1.1.6), an author comes up with another activity that should be second for the week. How can this activity become 1.1.2 and bump the current 1.1.2-1.1.6 to become 1.1.3-1.1.7
