general mail problem
I can't send mail from ATutor.
I or ATutor itself tried to send mail in several cases:
- enrollment request
-mail all course students
-contact instructor
in fact - never got any mail from my ATutor installation.
I changed Mailer in phpmailer variable in SMTP, than in sendmail and than back to mail but nothing. Maybe that was not necessary but I gave it a shot.
All of this failed so it must be some general problem.
Btw, my site is hosted by hosting company so I can't influence on php settings.
Things to describe:
operating system - [blue]Linux[/blue]
version of ATutor - [blue]1.4.2[/blue]
versions of php -
version of mysql -
webserver & version - [blue]apache[/blue]
copies of error messages - [red]there is none, [/red] report says that mail is sent
changes to default settings -
web browser being used -[blue] Firefox and IE[/blue]
and anything else relevant -
