If I understand you correctly...
The chat is for person to persons communication. If you need to talk to a person privately, use the Inbox messaging, or use regular email.
Talking meaning messaging, not communicating by voice. -

Voice communication would be a fantastic tool. I am currently playing with voxwire (voxwire.com). This inexpensive communication tool has great potential for online learning. At this stage, I have no idea how to incorporate it into Atutor.
