    1. The version of ATutor 1.4.2

    2. ATutor is installed on Linux 2.4.24

    3. The Web server is Apache 1.3.33

    4. The version of PHP is 4.3.9 and MySQL is 4.0.20 standard

    5. The Web browser is ephiphany 1.2.8 based on mozilla (debian testing)

    6. Do you have root access to your server NO
    or are you a hosted user on someone else's server, YES

    7. List the steps you took prior to experiencing the problem.
    I am a registered user of ATutor, and when i try to contat to my instructor or when i enroll in a private course, i receive the message:
    "There was an error sending the message".
    The installation run without problems, and I am not a expert to diagnose what is happening. Your help are welcome

    8. Provide access information to your ATutor installation with appropriate admin/instructor accounts.

    The LMS is in http://cursos.aulasur.com.ar

    http://cursos.aulasur.com.ar is broken :(

    i create a fresh install, Broken it! :D

    some aditional info:

    admin
    user & pass: administrador

    regular user:
    username: user
    password: pass

    To recreate the error, log in as regular user, and send a message http://www.aulasur.com.ar/ATutor/users/contact_instructor.php?course=1&from_browse=1

    I search in google, and found info about SMTP, but I use sendmail.

    Is needed to touch: include/classes/phpmailer/class.phpmailer.php ?

    Does mail work otherwise?

    Does sendmail work for you otherwise?


    Set the MAIL_USE_SMTP constant in include.inc.php to false.

    sendmail works fine

    sendmail works.... (i have nuke, oscommerce, etc. working fine)

    i search for include.inc.php and I can't find... :(

    if you refer to include/config.inc.php, this section is ok

    /* If false, then mail will try to be sent using sendmail. */
    define('MAIL_USE_SMTP', false);

    I will try to configure include/classes/phpmailer/class.phpmailer.php

    RESOLVED

    ATutor+sendmail don't work for me. :(

    But if I use SMTP ATutor works fine! :)

    I change to use smtp. Thanks so much for the time...
