I updated the old 1.4, the newest version is now running on the web server.
I tried to import the language packs (italian and spanish) and, whilst I got no error message, I cannot find the imported language in the drop down menu, the only language is still English.
any suggestion?

of course the language pack version is the same as the LCMS (1.4.2.).
I tried to download it again and install it locally (the precedeing try was made remotely) and I received this error message

Make sure the content/import/ directory is recursively writable. You must use the "-R" switch when setting permissions on the content directory.
chmod -R a+rwx content/import/
Unfortunately we don't have an IIS server available on which to reproduce this problem. If possible the best server combination is Apache 1.3 using PHP as an Apache module. There have been other problems reported when using the CGI version on Windows.
