    Language Variables

    Hello,
Some of the language variables defined in language area are not showing up.
    For example:
    [AT_HELP_CONTROL_CENTER1]
    [AT_HELP_CONTROL_CENTER2
    ....................................
I am using Atutor 1.4.2 on linux system and I was wondering if you can tell me what might be causing this.

    Thanks in advance.

    which language

Which language are you referring to?

You may be able to manually add them to the lang2 table if they are missing.

    Language problem

    Hi Greg,
Thanks a million for your reply.
I am using default english and farsi language.
I checked the lang2 and english language and the values
for the translation are already there.
It just that some of the values from language both for english and farsi are not loading up .
Below are a few which I am not getting any value for:
    ---------------------------------
    [AT_HELP_CONTENT_PATH]
    [AT_HELP_CONTROL_CENTER1]
    [AT_HELP_CONTROL_CENTER2]
    AT_HELP_ADD_TEST]
    =====================
As you can see from above all of the fields which are not showing up any value for are **help related values** and I have doulble checked to make sure a value is defined for them in language section.

    Thanks alot

    Use 1.4.2 language pack

Sounds like you are using an old language pack. Install the one for 1.4.2.

    Language problem

    Hi again,
I deleted the old farsi language and downloaded the 1.4.2 pack and imported it and still the same problem.
Also the same exact problem with the default english language that came with the Atutor.

I was wondering if it has anything to do with:
    define('CACHE_DIR', '');

That is how it appears in my config file.
Do I need to define a directory for cache if it is enabled??

    Thanks

    Empty your browser cahche

    Empty your browser's cache.

You do not need to define a cache directory in config.inc.php. It can remain empty.

If the problem continues, manually add them to the database, into the lang2 and lang_base tables.

Not sure why they would be missing. We still can not reproduce this problem ourselves.

    Language problem

    Hello,
Sorry to keep bugging you again and thanks for your
    help.
I emptied my browser cache and I also checked the database table for both languages.
All the values are already there.

It is very strange as only the help and info related variables are not showing up.
    Everything else is loading fine.

Could this be caused by one or more corupted files and if yes what files are responsible for showing the language??

    Thanks again

    Thanks

    Hi,
Thanks for the help and I was able to resolve the problem.
    I had a corupted **output.inc.php** file.

    It is working fine now.

    Thanks again
