  I develop a distance learning course.
  How can I load video in the course?

  You can upload through the file manager, though a better choice is to load the video into YouTube or Vimeo, then embed the video in your course content using the [media] tag. See the handbook page for the content editor for more about the tag.
  
  If you do upload the video with the file manager, you run the risk of not being able to backup or export your course because videos tend to make course sizes very large.
