  Moving Courses From version 16 server to new version 211 server

  Things to describe:
  Operating system ATutor is installed on - CentOS 6.4
  Linux 2.6.32-358.23.2.el6.x86_64
  
  ATutor version - 2.1.1
  Patch #s applied - None
  ATutor theme name -
  PHP version -5.3.3
  MySQL version -5.7
  Webserver & version - Apache 2
  
  
  I have a version 1.6 server that I have been running for a few years. I recently built a new server and installed 2.1.1 . I would like to move the courses over. Not sure exactly what the proper procedure is. I tried doing a backup of the course on 1.6 but it was only 11K and it did not restore anyway to the 2.1.1 server. Is there a documented procedure?

  The best option is to upgrade from 1.6 to 2.1.1 if you are able to copy the entire ATutor 1.6 to the new server. Otherwise backups to the way to go. It should work fine.
  
  There have been a variety of issue reported with PHP 5.3.3, so that may be the problem. If you have an opportunity to upgrade to PHP 5.4.*, it may fix the problem.
  
  Otherwise try creating a backup on the old server and restoring it there to determine if its the creating or restoring that is failing.

  The backup that is made on the 1.6 server is only 11K which I know is wrong as there are tests and content in there.

  Did you try restoring the backup in 1.6? What gets restored, if anything?

  Seems it was IE 11 . When I do it with Firefox backup and download goes fine.
