    Logging issue

    Hi,
    I migrated Atutor from 1.6 to 2.1
Also, move my application from a Windows Server to a Linux server.
But the version in the linux server doesnt login.
    I always get this message:
    The following errors occurred:
    Invalid login/password combination.

I even modified the password through the database copied from my windows installation, but.. doesnt work.

I usually use Chrome, but also tried with IE and have the same problem.

    Things to describe:
Operating system ATutor is installed on -
    System Linux serv01.siteground253.com 2.6.32.59-sg3 #9 SMP Wed Sep 26 03:29:25 CDT 2012 x86_64

    ATutor version - 2.1.1

Patch #s applied - no patches
    ATutor theme name - default_classic
    PHP version - 5.3.28
    MySQL version - 5.5.32.31.0
    Webserver & version - Apache
    Copies of error messages -
    Changes to default settings -
Web browser being used - Chrome & IE

Please, help me with this issue, because I need to change my server.

    Re: Logging issue

There was a password encryption step added in ATutor 1.6.1, which converts all text passwords to a 40 character SHA1 encrypted string. Check the passwords in the DB to be sure they have been converted.

You can manually reset passwords in the db by saving them in SHA1 format.

    Re: Logging issue

I am able to log into the program from the machine I have installed it on, but can't log in from any other machine through the web.
Am I missing a setting in the setup, and what type of protocol should I us on the firewall to allow the encryption through to the database other than http?
