    I am trying to build a custom report that pulls the student's highest score for a test. with the following data

    19262 60 4803 2013-07-10 06:48:47 50 1 2013-07-10 06:51:49
    19268 60 4803 2013-07-10 07:07:58 100 1 2013-07-10 07:14:52
    19263 60 4803 2013-07-10 06:53:47 0 1 2013-07-10 06:55:09
    19267 60 4803 2013-07-10 07:04:16 0 1 2013-07-10 07:07:38

    this query pulls 50 as the highest - I looked at the structure and it appears the final_score field is of type CHAR... what is the reason that field is not INT?

    ATutor Version: 1.5.5.
    PHP Version: 5.2.17
    MySQL Version: 5.0.77
    OS: Linux 2.6.18-308.20.1.el5PAE

    I do not recall the reason for the char(5) value type. It may be left over from the early days. You could try changing it to an int. Backup the table before your do.
