Mail configuration is not set properly

    Mail configuration is not set properly

    Operating system - Windows 2003
    ATutor version - 2.1
    PHP version - 5.4.11
    Webserver & version - IIS 6
    Changes to default settings - None

    Have ATutor instlled and running on a test system, but after logging in as ATutor administrator, the screen advises "Mail configuration is not set properly". I have created a test script in PHP which sends mail through the local SMTP server, so it seems that the SMTP config and PHP are set up properly. I am not certain what ATutor is looking for to determine a "proper" mail configuration.

    Any advice is welcome, thanks in advance.

    Thanks, but there is nothing relevant to my issue in that FAQ. My ATutor installation =can= send mail, both by using the email function and the password reset function. I am simply trying to understand what is triggering that "Mail configuration is not set properly" message.

    Currently it just checks for the presence of an SMTP server, so will fail on occasion.
