    Invalid username password combination error when trying login to atutor mobile

    Things to describe:
    Operating system ATutor is installed on - Linux
    ATutor version - 2.0.3
    Patch #s applied -
    ATutor theme name - IDI
    ATutor mobile theme name - AliMobile 1.0
    PHP version - 5.2.17
    MySQL version - 5.0.95
    Webserver & version - Apache 2.2.21
    Copies of error messages - The following errors occurred:

    Invalid login/password combination.


    Changes to default settings - None
    Web browser being used - Mobile device browser
    ...and anything else relevant -

    Sorry, forgot to add that I can login without any errors using a desktop from all the browsers I've tested.

    I've also tried all the advice giving in previous threats but are still stuck with the same error when trying to access atutor with a mobile phone. I've also used different mobile emulators to check if it might be the phone I'm using but the error still persist.

    I had no problem logging in with an iPhone, though the theme does not look right. You should stick with the default mobile theme. The one that comes with ATutor. Others are development themes.

    Hi Greg,

    Thanks for the reply. You've probably logged on while I was fiddling with the theme :). I've changed the theme back to the default mobile theme but still no luck for me.

    I've also tried on a phone with WM6.1 but the error still persist.

    After the error the site is directed to the default DESKTOP theme and I can log in from my mobile but obviously the layout would not be suitable for a mobile device. Leading me to believe the problem might be with the mobile theme and I opted to try the alimobile-1.0 theme with the same result.

    Any pointers on where to look to try and solve this error would be greatly appreciated.

    ATutor has not been tested with WM.

    As far as the login problem is concerned, there's not a lot we can do without being able to reproduce the problem. Everything seems to be fine from here.

    Try logging into our demo site with login "demo" and password "demo."

    alimobile is just an early version of the current default mobile theme.

    Hi Greg,

    Thanks for your patience.

    I've managed to log into the demo server but it loads the desktop theme and not the mobile theme.

    I've also now managed to log into my server but with the same scenario as above.

    Can you post a picture of the screens when you log on if it's not to much trouble so I can see what you get when you log into my server?

    What device are you using, and which OS?

    If I have some time later, I'll generate a screenshot and post it here.

    I've tried on a Nokia with Symbian 9.2 OS, Sony Ericson with WM6.1, Mobile emulators for blackberry 8530 8630 9630 and iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4.

    Your site looks fine. I've attached a screenshot.

    Not sure what to tell you. We have never had any trouble blackberries, android, or iPhone, the three mobile device we currently support.
