    Networking to accept a contact

    If you are asking for help, provide lots of detail so problems can be reproduced.

    Things to describe:

    I would like to know where to accept a request of being a contact in Networking. I was not able to find the way. I receive a mail informing about somebody wants to add me as a contact with a link to Networking section but then I cannot find the button or something like that to accept the request.

    Please, could you help?

    Operating system ATutor is installed on -Windows 2003 Server Standard Edition
    ATutor version -2.0.
    Patch #s applied -1-10
    ATutor theme name -Default 2.0
    PHP version -5.3.2
    MySQL version -5.1.47-community
    Webserver & version -Apache 2.2.15
    Copies of error messages -
    Changes to default settings -
    Web browser being used -Mozilla Firefox 3.6.13
    ...and anything else relevant -

    Requests appear in a box to the right on your Networking home page. The box does not appear when no requests are pending.

    Thank you very much, Greg, for your message.
    The problem is that the box with "Pending friend request" does not appear on our installation even though requests are pending. I have tested it on several development and local installations (characteristics in previous message)and it never works. And I do not know where to find out. I would be very grateful if you could give me some idea.

    I'm unable to reproduce the problem. Contact requests are working okay on our installations. My guess is you are doing something wrong if its not appearing on any of you test installations.

    Thank you, Greg. I will try to check Network settings from the begining again to find the problem in my installation.

    Does you my.ini have the statement

    sql-mode="STRICT_TRANS_TABLES"
    ? if so you may need to remove that option
    (there may be other options in the "" section)



    I had this issue because the requests were not being inserted into the table at_social_friend_requests
    there were some other issues like not being able to create a group.
