  Is there a way to create a role which is similar to an instructor, i.e., you're able to create/edit/delete students but unable to create/edit/delete courses or lessons?

  From the level of the whole ATutor, there are only 3 type of users: admin, instructor, student.
  
  Instead, instructor of the course can assign privileges to students including managing the enrolment of this course.
  
  Not sure if this feature satisfies your need. If you are interested:
  
  Login as a instructor -> go in a course -> tab "Manage" -> Enrolment -> select a student -> button "privilege".

  You have course 1>instructor A>students under instructor A
  
  same course 1>instructor B>students under instructor B
  
  so all students under instructor A and B take the same course 1 but you don't want instructor A to see instructor B (and its students) and vice versa
  
  How do you configure this?

  In this case, instructors should have their own course instead of sharing the same course. You can use "Manage" -> "Backup" to copy the course around.
