    restoring a backed up course to a new server

    Hi,
    This may sound like a daft question, but I am trying to move a course from an old server to a new one (old server atutor 1.6.1, new server 2.0)
    I have sucsefully backed up most of my courses, but I cant find a way to upload these backups to the new server to allow me to restore them, and the manual seams to miss this step out :(

    Any help would be great, I know its something daft Im missing, but i just cant see it :(

    Maybe have another coffee.

    It about an inch away from the button you used to download the backup. Upload, then restore.

    Maybe ive had to many coffees, Under home for courses I have :-
    # Courses

    * Forums
    * Create Course
    * Enrollment
    * Default Tools
    * Default Menu
    * Auto Enrollment
    * Backups
    * Categories
    * Learner Tools

    Under Backups I have :
    Current Backups
    Create Backup
    Under the list of backups (which is blank just now as its a new install)
    I have :
    Restore
    Download
    Delete
    Edit

    All of which want me to select a backup from the blank list first :(
    I cant see anything that says 'Upload' :( unless its done through file manager?

    I think you are logged in as an administrator, and you need to log in as an instructor to upload a backup.

    Manage-> Backup -> Upload.

    Thanks Harris,
    Had not seen that int he manual :(

    Just one other question then, when restoring a course, it doesnt restore the course title. Is there a way to restore the entire course, or do I need to setup blank courses with the correct names and restore into them?
    If I need to setup seperate courses for each restore, is there anything else in the courses that isnt restored? (any settings etc.)

    The course title is not restored, but you can overwrite your current course content with a backup.

    If you want to create a new course with those backup files, then you need a new course title.

    Unfortunately, the backup doesn't export an image of the course. Course settings will be gone, in which they will be back to the default settings. The backup will only backup the checked items within backup->create.
