    404 File not found

When a student tries to login to ATutor on my website, they always get an error message:
404 Error - File not found. The requested URL was not found on this server.

The file it tries to open is: www.netkonfirmand.dk/users/index.php

But the thing is: The file IS there.

I have tried to re-install, but still the same result.

I can login as admin, but other users can't.

    ATutor version: 1.6.4
    PHP version: 5.2.10
    MySQL: 5.1.32
    OS: Linux 2.6.18-92.1.22.el5xen

Make sure "index.php" is setup in your webserver config as a default page when one is not defined in a URL.

In Apache it gets added to the DirectoryIndex in httpd.conf.

Re: 404 - File not found

My webhost (i123.dk) told me the following:

"The folder 'users' is an alias to where the users log in and correct their email addresses. Could you name the folder in ATutor something else?"
    (translated form Danish)

Re: 404 - File not found

"users/" is a real folder, not an alias.

Re: 404 - File not found

I think he meant that they as webhosts have set up the server in such a way that "/users" in their configuration points to an alias for setting up one's email etc.?

    When I go to http://www.netkonfirmand.dk/users I get a 403 error.

    When I go to http://www.netkonfirmand.dk/users/index.php directly I get a 404 error.

Re: 404 - File not found

I would suggest then you locate your ATutor installation in a subdirectory. You can not move or rename the users/ directory without breaking lots of things.
