    Securing the content folder question

If you are asking for help, provide lots of detail so problems can be reproduced.
    Things to describe:
Operating system ATutor is installed on - Linux
    ATutor version - 1.6.3
    Patch #s applied - 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,9
    ATutor theme name - Ginaqua
    PHP version - 5.2.9
    MySQL version - 5.0.81-community
    Webserver & version - 2.2.11 (Unix)
    Copies of error messages -
    Changes to default settings -None
    Web browser being used -
    ...and anything else relevant -

During the installation, in the step for the creation of the content folder, I received a message pretty much like this:

"It has been determined that your server does not suppor the content directory security feature."

Meaning that the content folder had to be placed under the Atutor directory, instead of outside the document tree.

Any suggestions of how I might change this, i.e., a php configuration option or something that I may control?

I appreciate any help on the matter.

    Regards,
    IVAN

My last question was probably so dumb it did not deserve an answer. I was hoping it wouldn't coz I haven't got one.

Re: Securing the content folder question

It worked. Uploaded the compressed file again and re-installed ATutor.

You've lost me. What do you mean by usbdomain deleted was deleted?

So, are you up and running now?

Re: Securing the content folder question

    Yes, thank you.
I was running ATutor on a subdomain where I uploaded the decompressed files instead of decompressing on the server. Somewhere along the line a few files must have gone missing and I lost the ftp log, so I couldn't tell which. I deleted the db and the subdomain altogether to start fresh (with a compressed package), that was all.
