Sorry, i submited the post without explaining what's wrong.
In content creation, I can not view images loaded to the content directory, either using the file manager or the image icon in the editor....

    Re: images not displaying

Can you describe what you did, and include the path you are using to insert images.

Also try while using the default theme.

    Re: images not displaying

Using the file manager in the content creation interface I uploaded a file, I verified and is loaded from the AT root:
    content/2/img.gif

Then I selected the image with the checkbox and pressed the insert button. When I look at the html source, the code is:
    <p style="text-align: justify;"><img src="img.gif" border="0" alt="Alternate Text" /></p>

When I close the subject (after saving) the alternate text appears, but not the image.

When I try to use the image button in the editor, I insert in the url address input field

    content/2/img.gif

and put any text in the other two fields, setting the correct image size and press the update button. Same thing, I save and close and check if the image displays, but nothing, just the alternative description.

After this long winded explanation, I hope I will still get some help. Thx in advance Greg. How do you manage time for developing, by the way??

    Regards,
    ivan

    Re: images not displaying

I'm absolutely sure I tried the correct relative URL to the image, which is content/2/img.gif.

I am beginning to believe it might be related to permissions on the content folder. Is that reasonable? If so, what should be the chmod on the folder? I have set it to 700.

I thank anybody that can help me.

    Re: images not displaying

700 would be a problem. Normally this is set to 777 or a+rwx during installation.

the URL should just be the file name, without content/2/

    Re: images not displaying

I tried setting the chmod to 777 but it still does not work...

I have just tried changing permission on the subdirectory "2" for in the content directory, which probably inherited the permissions from the content directory, so I set permissions as 755 and guess what? It worked!!!

Thanks. As always, I hold a huge debt of gratitude to you. I really appreciate your help.

By the way, in relation to the CMS Awards Nominations, I
couldn't cast my vote, ATutor is not available from the nomination list under any category...

    Re: images not displaying

I don't feel totally confident with folders having 777 permissions. What is the minimum set of permissions under which ATutor will keep running smoothly?
