    Content share between courses

    Hi,

Would just like to know if atutor is able to share content between courses. We are currently using atutor 1.6.0 and have created a number of courses with content and files.

We have the need to have some of the same content and files in a number of courses. Is it possible to link or copy this content between courses, without having to reproduce it?

    Cheers,
    Josh

    Re: Content share between courses

    Hi,

You can copy it using backups (Manage -> Backup). The steps to do so:
    1. Create a backup in the course that already has the needed content in it.
    2. Download the backup to your computer.
    3. Go to the target course.
    4. Upload the backup there (via Backups, not File Manager).
    5. Restore the backup (partially, by selecting only those items you want to restore).

The same also works for tests and other items.

    Re: Content share between courses

    Thanks.

Will the restore of another courses content replace the content that is currently a part of that course?

Example: I have course A & B, which have test X & Y respectively. If i create test Z for course B and then backup/restore tests from course B into course A will it allow me to keep course A test X and add test Z?

While extracting a backup, you can choose whether to add or to overwrite existing material.
