    How to add math expressions

Hello, I'd like to know if there is any way to write mathematical equations in ATutor just as one does using the Equations Editor of MS Word. I've also tried to copy and paste some math expressions from Word, but it doesn't work. That just creates a blank object.

Can I please get some light on this?

    Thank you!

    Alex

    Things to describe:

Re: How to add math expressions?

In ATutor 1.6.2 you can insert arbitrary math expressions written in TeX, just enclose them within [tex] and [/tex] tags.

If you save a Word document as HTML for using it in Content you'll have all the formulae converted into images (GIFs) automatically.

Also there's a visual editor in content; we don't use it much, but there might be such a feature.

Re: How to add math expressions?

Try something like the following tool for generating LaTeX equations, then copy the code it generates into an ATutor page, something like this

    [tex]\left(x-1\right)\left(x+3\right)[/tex]

Re: How to add math expressions?

thank you very much greg,we really need this. we use mathML for adding math expressions to content and it creates a long html code and also all the users must install math player to see math expressions, but the way you suggested is much better.
It could be much much better, if we can use LaTex code while creating questions in question database just like content.

Re: How to add math expressions?

WIRIS Tools offer a very good solution for equation edition.

You can find a demo of integration with TinyMCE (ATutor HTML editor) at
