    How do you unzip a tar file

    I have a Windows box like millions of others and I would like to know how ot unzip a tgz file? Is there one which keeps you out of the Window shell command?

    unzip

    as described in the installation documentation, both WinZip and WinRar should be able to open .tgz files.
