Atutor visual editor

    Atutor visual editor

In ATutor 1.6.1 my visual editor behaves somwhat odd:

Each time I want to edit a page i need to click on "Clean up messy code" to see the avctual layout og the content. Until this icon is used all lines are shown without formatting.

The centering option (to center a line) does very seldom work...

Could these be bugs that are fixed in 1.6.2, or could something be wrong with my 1.6.1 installation?

    Re: Atutor visual editor

I'm not sure how to reproduce the problem. See if you can reproduce it on the demo site. Which is 1.6.2.

    Re: Atutor visual editor

    Thanks for answering, Greg.

On the demo site tinymce works excellent, as it should. However not at my own server, or my hosted installation.

I upgraded my installation to 1.6.2 and it still behave strangely.

If anyone would care to take a look my install is at :

    password: demo2009

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I did not have any trouble either. Maybe its the browser you're using. Try upgrading, or using a different one.

    Re: Atutor visual editor

This is really strange - now it seems to work fine again. I struggled with this for hours yesterday, editing a course.

I use Firefox 3.0.5 both on XP and Linux, and had problems with both. After you guys made a test everything seems to be working again :)

Anyway, thanks a lot Vedran & Greg for looking into this on a saturday evening. I really appreciate your helping out.

    Re: Atutor visual editor

The editor is driving me nuts again...

Maybe I am doing things wrong, or I don't understand how the editor should work but am strugglig again.

Would someone please take a look ar page # 3 in this course:

    rosetta.gotdns.com/atutor

    user name: demo
    password: demo2009

    I have the following issues:

#1 : Consider the 1st sentence (in english). There seem to be something seriously wrong with the line spacing?

#2 : I try to align the image so that it floats to the very right end of my screen. It seems to be stuck at the end of the line, whatever I try to do.

Thanks in advance to those who find the time to check it out.

    No trouble for me.

    Re: Atutor visual editor

    Hello,
Image is alligned relative to text on its left side. SO if I add some text as I addedd the image moves more to the right.

Please try with putting more space after the text so it can be set right without input of additional text.

    Good luck

Thanks guys, for looking into it.

I've made an illustrated description of what I see at my end:

(Going off to bang my head against the wall)

Ok, Vedran, I'll settle for the spacebar method
    :)

Thanks again Greg and Vedran for your patience!
