Change the default port

    Change the default port

It was suggested in an earlier response that I use another port to run ATutor... How do I specify the port number?

Operating system ATutor is installed on - Win XP SP2
    ATutor version - latest ATutor2Go 1.5.5.
    Patch #s applied - ...
    ATutor theme name - ...
PHP version - included in 2Go version
MySQL version - included in 2Go version
    Webserver & version - none
Copies of error messages - ...
Changes to default settings - none
Web browser being used - Firefox 3
    ...and anything else relevant -

I already have a XAMPP version of Moodle on my laptop but even when I shut down Moodle's included Apache and MySQL by clicking on "StopMoodle.exe" I cannot get the ATutor local site to come up using localhost:4001 as directed in the instructions.

Moodle also requires that I surf to localhost to use its XAMPP version as well, but I think it uses port 80, so I don't know why ATutor won't start if it's using port 4001.

It was suggested that I try port 1880, but I don't know how to specify the port.

    Re: Change the default port?

    # Listen: Allows you to bind Apache to specific IP addresses and/or
    # ports, instead of the default. See also the <VirtualHost>
    # directive.
    #
    # Change this to Listen on specific IP addresses as shown below to
    # prevent Apache from glomming onto all bound IP addresses (0.0.0.0)
    #
    #Listen 12.34.56.78:80
    Listen %CDPMS:HOST%:%CDPMS:PORT%

Ok, fine... how do I specify the port you suggested?

    Well, thanks for nothing.

    I'll stick with Moodle.
