Installation problem with Moodle also on Machine

If you are asking for help, provide lots of detail so problems can be reproduced.

    Things to describe:
Operating system ATutor is installed on - Win XP SP2
    ATutor version - latest ATutor2Go 1.5.5.
    Patch #s applied - ...
    ATutor theme name - ...
PHP version - included in 2Go version
MySQL version - included in 2Go version
    Webserver & version - none
Copies of error messages - ...
Changes to default settings - none
Web browser being used - Firefox 3
    ...and anything else relevant -

I already have a XAMPP version of Moodle on my laptop but even when I shut down Moodle's included Apache and MySQL by clicking on "StopMoodle.exe" I cannot get the ATutor local site to come up using http://localhost:4001 as directed in the instructions.

Moodle also requires that I surf to localhost to use its XAMPP version as well, but I think it uses port 80, so I don't know why ATutor won't start if it's using port 4001.

    Ideas?

    Thanks!

Re: Installation problem with Moodle also on Machine

try running the ATutor XAMP from a different port, like 1880

Re: Installation problem with Moodle also on Machine

Sounds great... How do I specify which port I want it to run from?

Re: Installation problem with Moodle also on Machine

The port is set in Apache, in the httpd.conf file

Thanks for your cryptic so-called "help."

I'll stick with Moodle. At least I got it installed.
