    Video embedding

    Here's my "details":

    Database:
    1.22 MB
    Disk Usage:
    0.23 MB
    Courses:
    10
    Users:
    3
    ATutor Version:
    1.6.1. Check Latest Version.
    PHP Version:
    5.2.5
    MySQL Version:
    4.1.22-standard
    OS:
    Linux 2.6.9-67.0.22.ELsmp
    -----------------------

I'm using Firefox 3.0.3, have IE 6.0 available.

I'm a simple gal from North Carolina, with obviously (after installing my first atutor system) little to no REAL technological skills, BUT, I am as determined as a pitt bull!

OK, so I want to embed videos in the content of our training courses.

I've spent 2 days trying to make this happen.

I've poured over the manual, the forum, the notes on all the updates, etc.

I've tried everything suggested and explained (to the best of my abilities), EXCEPT for the external flash player software recommended by someone along the way in the forum.

The videos I want to use and load are generally over 30kb.

I created the flash code in Camtasia Studio 3.
I uploaded into the content area.
I then used the file manager to load the files.

I can't find the files I load using the file manager on the ftp screen, anywhere? So I don't know how to adjust the code to point to the right directories.

I then loaded the files manually, myself, via ftp, and put the http://xxxx address in the script code.

But no matter what I do, I get the "if you need to upgrade flash, go here, text message, but NEVER any video!

Please be kind and patient. I'm really stressed about this because I imagine it should be really straight forward, simple...but I'm feeling really, really stupid at the moment! Not to mention, I'm 2 days behind schedule on this project! ~yikes!

    Thanks in advance,
    Katie

    Re: Video embedding

In order to display media file.

Pick a content -> Edit Content -> Open File Manager -> Upload your flash File -> After file is uploaded, choose from the table at the bottom -> Click Insert -> Close File Manager pop up Window -> Save Content

    Re: Video embedding

perhaps it could be a codec issue. You must update you mozilla firfox or IE
