IMS manifest file is missing

    IMS manifest file is missing

I am trying the A-tutor demo site and attempting to upload some content created on Articulate and exported as a SCORM 1.2 zip file.

I have tried to upload using manage-->import package but get the error message "IMS manifest file is missing. This does not appear to be a valid IMS content package."

I get the same message if I try to install through Manage-->content-->import content.

I have tried unzipping the file and it plays in ie6 ok.

I have tried a couple of ZIP files, this is one of them.

    Thanks for your help.

The package is probably not be a valid package. You could try runing it though the conformance tester, which can be downloaded from the ADL site.

Re: IMS manifest file is missing

I have run the package on a different LMS and it worked fine. I'll give the conformance tester a try.

Is there a particular way to create or save Articulate Presenter courses to make it work with atutor? At the moment I am saving with LMS option SCORM1.2 chosen, which produces the above zip file.

Re: IMS manifest file is missing

I'm not familiar with Articulate myself, but there has been some past discussion about it. Search for it, and add to the discussion if you discover anything.

Maybe have a look at CourseLab and Reload as alternatives.
