Install Problem

    Install Problem

    I am using:

    Apacher 2.0.48
    MySql 4.0.18
    PHP 4.3.4
    Windows XP Pro

I have just installed ATutor 1.3.3 (new install) on this machine and everything works except that the content directory is not created.

    Any idea why?

I have the same setup at home except with W2K and that works perfectly.

I am used to working on Linux where I never had a problem at all.

    Try again

The content directory is part of the distribution, so it should show up when you unzip it. After unpacking and before installing, you can create the following empty directories manually if they don't unpack. Is there any other info about this problem you can describe that might help identify the problem?

    content/
    content/import/
    content/chat/

Uncheck the read only box under file properties on these dirs, if its checked.

    Manually created

    Thanks Greg:

    I manually created the directories.

I checked file prior to unpacking it and the content diretories are there. I can't think of anything that would help identify the problem. If something comes up I will let you know.

BTW we were very impressed to find that when you unpack an ims exported file into a new directory it can be viewed from that directory.
