    Re: but it necessary

It is unlikely we would allow HTML in email from ATutor unless there was a compelling argument why we should. And there were a good argument, there would need to be funds to support the development, which would be non-trivial.

    Re: but it necessary

You can send html throug email.
for Outlook follow the following steps:
    1. Create your html page using any editor (eg. notepad or word)
    2. Save in "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Stationery\1033"
    3. Open outlook Select "Tools -->Options--> Mail Format"
    4. Under the option "Compose in this message format" Select HTML
    5. Select Stationary Picker Option below and select the html file which you had created.

Pl. let me know if it not helps!

    Re: but it necessary

Obviously HTML can be sent through Outlook, and most other mail applications. But sending html from them ( desktop applications) and from a ATutor (a Web application) are two very different things. Allowing HTML in a Web application opens up a whole variety of potential problems.

In the context of an LMS, I can see no good reason why we should allow HTML in mail messages. For the amount of effort that would need to go into allowing "pretty email" in a Web app, and the insignificant pedagogical value of pretty email, I'd give up on trying to have it introduced in ATutor.
