    illegal File Extensions

In the ATutor system preferences, illegal File Extensions include the PHP extension. This setting is keeping me from having a PHP file in my course build folder when I import. Would it be okay to remove the PHP extension from the illegal File extensions list in ATutors system preferences or would this cause a problems for ATutor?

    Thanks,

    ~ Bill

    Re: illegal File Extensions

You could potentially remove "php" from the illegal extensions in System Preferences to allow uploading of PHP files into the file manager, so they could be linked from content pages. You can not embed php in content pages however.

If you do disable the extension so a file can be uploaded, be sure to enable it again after the file is on the server. Otherwise it opens the potential for an instructor or student to do serious damage to the system should they upload and run malicious code. PHP is disallowed for security reasons.
