    customizing chat

    If you are asking for help, provide lots of detail so problems can be reproduced.

    Things to describe:
    operating system - Linux
    version of ATutor - 1.6
    versions of php - 5.2
    version of mysq l - 5.2.5
    webserver & version - 1.3
    copies of error messages -
    changes to default settings -
    web browser being used -
    and anything else relevant -
    I am trying to customize chat session, history, messages duration on teh screen. I could not find documentation about that. But, file admin.settings.php in /chat folder in Atutor installation does show the following parameters:
    produceTran=0
    tranFile=
    returnLink=
    adminPass=
    chatName=
    returnL=
    returnT=
    msgLifeSpan=86400
    chatSessionLifeSpan=2700
    chatIDLifeSpan=31104000
    What re measurement units for numbersin such settings and is that relevenat for customization of duration that I need?

    Thanks,

    vedran

    Re: customizing chat

    You should not need to modify the chat config file. It is edited automatically by the program.

    Mygues is you are having trouble with the system timing out. Run patch 0001 using the Patcher module to correct that.

    That should be 00001. It should be the first one in the list.

    Hmm, there are 8 patches. The latest is with number 0009 but there is no 0001. Applied on 3 installations of ATutor and it is teh same everywhere. Some patchis missing?

    Re: customizing chat

    Hi, patch 00001 has been replaced by 00005 weeks ago, whose purpose is to make theme default15 to use default login and registration template.

    From my understanding, your case should be fixed by applying patch 00004.
