ATutor reports mysql disabled

    operating system - Mandriva 07
    version of ATutor -1.5.5
    versions of php -5.2.1
    version of mysq l -5.0.45
    webserver & version -apache 2.2.4
    copies of error messages -
    changes to default settings -
    web browser being used - mozilla 5.0
    and anything else relevant -

    During install ATutor reports mysql disabled, i try anyhow to run install/install.php but it just sends me a blank page with the legend "terminado".

    any idea ?.

    Hello,
    you will need mysql to install atutor. It cannot be disabled

    I will review this although mysql seems to be working properly, it is reported working fine.

    Thanks i corrected the problem reinstaling LAMP in my computer acording to the steps outlined in the LAMPHOWTO site.
