Install Atutor using an existing data base

    Hi all,

I've installed this application sucessfully and I'm very happy with it. Now, I want to copy the Atutor application I've installed in a different domain.

How can I do that ? Can I install Autor as usually and give the other data base name? If I use the previous database name, all the content will be initialized ? I want a copy of all the things I do in the first installation.

    Can I import de database?

Thank very much for your great help

    Things to describe:
    operating system -
    version of ATutor -
    versions of php -
    version of mysq l -
    webserver & version -
    copies of error messages -
    changes to default settings -
    web browser being used -
    and anything else relevant -

hia, the easiest thing is to export the database from your old location then import it to your new. I'm using phpmyadmin for this.

that done, upload the atutor files and edit include/config.inc.php to reflect the new database settings.

I'd personally prefer copying the DB files via shell.

You just perform a clean installation, and, after it's finished, replace the newly created database files with the "real" ones.

    Thank you very much!

It has worked. However, the files stored in "File Manager" hasn't been exported.

How can I export the files from one platform to another?

    Thanks again,
