cant find Instructor Tools

  cant find Instructor Tools

  Hi,
  I just cannot find the Instructor Tools (and therfore Course Default Preferences) anywhere. Not in admin, nor in the instructor area.
  Can someone please help!
  
  Things to describe:
  operating system - linux
  version of ATutor -1.5.5
  versions of php - 4.+
  version of mysq l - 4+
  webserver & version -apache
  copies of error messages -
  changes to default settings -
  web browser being used - IE
  and anything else relevant -
  
  Should add that we can't have checked the docs for 1.4.3 which says "
  
  Course Default Preferences in the Instructor Tools, then click Save current settings as course default preferences"

  If you want to limit what an instructor can do, simply create a student and assign the student privileges.

  Hi,
  Didn't quite understand that. If I create a student , enroll the student in an instructor's course, then assign the student some privileges, then the privileges will only apply to the student and not to the instructor.
  How would applying privileges to a student restrict an instructor?

  Create an instructor for yourself, then as the admin assign that user as the instructor for the course under courses>properties.
  
  Then enroll the old instructor (who would now be an unenrolled student in relation to that course) and assign privileges to that student, to give him/her limited instructor features. Leave out the privileges you don't want the instructor to have access to.
