    fsockopen warnings

    Hello

    Towards the end of my installation i got the following warnings:

    Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known in /var/www/html/ATutor/install/include/step7.php on line 106

    Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to www.atutor.ca:80 (Unknown error) in /var/www/html/ATutor/install/include/step7.php on line 106

    Could it be because I am behind a proxy server?
    Is it fixable?
    Everything seems to be working ok, but I just want to be sure...
    Please note that I am using VA LAMP on vmware (linux within windows), although I don't think this is of any importance.

    Thanks

    Re: fsockopen() warnings

    Hi,

    When you select "Yes, send this information to atutor.ca.", step7 will send us some information for statistic collection. This warning message simply tells you that it has failed to send us that information, it could be a config problem on the PHP settings, or it could also be a timeout, namespace problem with the ATutor server.

    Having all that said, it will not affect your ATutor system.
