    Error Table ATmessagessent creation failed

    Installing atutor on my hosting server, the installation is running ok until I get to this point(error message below) Last table to create ok is: AT_language_text created successfully.

    Things to describe:
    operating system - FreeBSD 4.11-STABLE
    version of ATutor - 1.5.5
    versions of php - PHP 4.4.1
    version of mysq l - mysql Ver 12.22 Distrib 4.0.16
    webserver & version - Server version: 4.0.16,Localhost via UNIX socket

    copies of error messages - Error
    Table AT_messages_sent creation failed.

    changes to default settings - no
    web browser being used - IE 6
    and anything else relevant -

    Are you able to see the last row inserted into the language_text table?

    You're the only one so far to report this problem, so I imagine it is something specific to your server. Perhaps you can investigate with your service provider.

    Hi Greg,
    Where do I find the inserted in the last row language_text table? How many table in all on instalation will atutor create? I'm in the process to demo a couple etraining systems I really like the look of the atutor system and am excited about getting it going. Thanks for your help.

    You should have access to your database through a Web interface your provider offers? Look for the AT_language text table view the last row.

    I'm guessing also, you are using Internet Explorer. Try another browser.

    AT_CONFIRM_ENROLL_STUDENT, (context enrollment manager, enroll confirm) is the last line in AT_language text table. I tried fox fire same result.

    I do not see anything in that language item that might be the problem.

    The system may be timing out during the installation. I'd suggest mentioning this to your service provider.

    Can sombody provide info on what the message_sent table should have in it I will see if I can manually create it, and if it will work. Any ideas? do I need to make a writable dirctory where it is installing this table? I would really like to try this software but running ito a wall here.

    Does your sql user has all the premission with the ATutor database?

    Are you asking if I changed the atutor directory to have full read-write 777, I don't think I did and I can't check because the firewall here at work. I will check this when I'm out of here.


    If you are asking for help, provide lots of detail so problems can be reproduced.

    Sorry, let me rephrase it a bit.
    Did you grant the ATutor database's user account (in mysql) all the privileges?

    I still cannot recreate the problem. Did you try other mysql versions?

    Hi,
    The problem is mysql uses a different syntax before 4.0.18

    Can you try the following:

    Open atutor/install/db/atutor_schema.sql

    Go to line 595, change
    ") ENGINE = MYISAM;"
    to
    ) TYPE = MYISAM;
