Conformation Email problem

    Conformation Email problem

    I new to Atutor & trying to configure. I am getting the message upon registration of a member that a conformation email has been sent. But I never received any email. I have checked with my server. It is using sendmail function for email. It is working properly.
    The following are the Atutors installation information
    operating system -Linux
    version of ATutor -1.5.5
    versions of php -
    version of mysq l -
    webserver & version -
    copies of error messages -
    changes to default settings -
    web browser being used -
    and anything else relevant -

    Please help me out,

    The sendmail should work on a Linux system without any problems. Try checking your spam filters.

    If you are asking for help, provide lots of detail so problems can be reproduced.

    Things to describe:
    operating system - Linux 2.6.22-1-686-bigmem
    version of ATutor - 1.5.5
    versions of php - 5.2.3
    version of mysq l - 5.0.45-Debian_1-log
    webserver & version -
    copies of error messages -
    changes to default settings - safe mode off
    web browser being used - MS internet explorer 7.0.5730.11

    I verified but no conformation email even in bulk folder , turn off spam filter also no help.I checked again the sendmail it works properly as I get email and able to send email in general. I checked also that upon approval in course also no email is sent. I also checked in Admin login - could not send email to all users manually error as follows:
    The following errors occurred:
    There was an error sending the email message.

    Please help me out,

    Hi,

    I can't seem to reproduce the problem that you encountered. I do get a notification email when a student tried to enroll a private course. You may try referring to the documentation and make sure the preferences of the course are set correctly.

    thank you !
    I checked but it does not work for me anyway.When I am trying to send the email to users it is also not able to send it . It shows the error :
    "The following errors occurred:
    There was an error sending the email message."

    I tried to register user with different email id and checked that all spam filters are off , but no way I am not getting any conformation email after registering a new user too..

    Please chek the following site where i have installed the Atutor version 1.5. My be you can check you self trying to register and see how it works.

    hi,

    I cannot log into your site unless you provide us with your server detailed information through our Services: http://www.atutor.ca/services/.

    However, it seems to be a mail server problem from what you've described to me. I am not getting any of those errors on my local server or on the atutor.ca's demo.

    You may want to check with your mail service provider.

    Thank you Harris,

    I checked with mail service provider they conformed that sendmail is working properly and there is no problem with it.

    Another thing i found is when I am trying to recover forgotten password then also it shows error as follows:
    "There was error sending the email message"

    Can you please guide me what all things needs to be checked to verify that there is no problem with the Atutor while sending the email on registration and also while recovering password . (I mean which php files should i check and verify)

    I sorted out the problem with your help.

    Now everything is working fine.
