    Inbox Group Send

    Things to describe:
    operating system - Linux
    version of ATutor - ATutor 1.5.3
    versions of php - PHP Version 5.1.6
    version of mysq l - 5.0.22
    webserver & version -
    copies of error messages -
    changes to default settings -
    web browser being used - Firefox
    and anything else relevant -

    Hi, in the Inbox that is place at the upper right corner that send message individually. How can I make it send by group?

    Or in the course email it is possible that if sending a message to the users it will not go to their respective email account but in their "Inbox" of their own user account in ATutor?

    Use the Course Email tool, under the manage tab. It lists groups

    I wish to do the same thing as tinarinoa. I have been to the Course Email tool and sent messages to groups, but it always sends them to the students registered private email account, not the Inbox within atutor.

    Not all of my students have an email account at home, so I'd really like to be able to send messages to students by groups within atutor.

    Is this possible or am I missing something?

    An email address is required to register on the ATutor system.

    Correct, though for students that do not have access to an email account, I just have them enter a bogus address.

    The question remains, is there a way to send messages to students by groups within atutor.

    You can send to a group through Course Email. Only if they have an email address though.

    You could post messages to group forums if they don't have an email address.

    The system is not intended to be used without email addresses for each user. If you choose to use it without email addresses, you'll need to come up with your own work-arounds.
